Al Franken, probably, groped and kissed grown women with their close on. This is sexual harassment.
Roy Moore is accused of attempting to have sex with little girls. This is attempted child molestation, it is a serious crime.
Donald Trump is accused of forcibly touching women’s vaginas. In many jurisdictions this would be considered rape.
If Roy Moore wins the Alabama race and Franken resigns it will be Steve Bannon’s hour. He not only got his guy elected, but took out two Democratic leaders and opened up a Republican shot at a Senate. A triumphant Bannon would embolden white nationalists. It will likely mean that tens of thousands will die because of denial of healthcare.
What should scare us more than anything is that the Republican Party may up the stakes so high that Democrats are split between idealists and those who’s lives or families are in danger if Republicans win. This is not a split we want to happen.
Franken desperately needs to stay. The accusations against him are best handled by his home state voters in the Democratic primary.
