What do Democrats do if Trump supporters engage in election day violence?

CNN just had coverage of a Trump rally in Chicago, with the subtext that their were a lot of protesters in the crowd this time and that violence should be expected.  Trumps rallies have had a rising tide of violence.  Quite frankly, it scare the hell out of me.  What do we do if the same type of violence, or worse, boils over on election day?

This would strike me as a good time for both the Justice Department and the Democratic Party to, quietly and separately, begin contingency planning in case this happens.  I can easily see a situation where footage of clashes at one polling place reaches social media and galvanizes Trump supporters to imitate the act, and some of his opponents to attempt to physically stop them.  That seems a situation likely to produce escalation.

I cannot believe I just seriously wrote that.  For the record, I condemn political violence and think authorities should review Trumps acts to see if charges of incitement to riot might be applicable.
