So you say an American Presidential candidate has encouraged his supporters to beat up Black Lives Matter protesters. Where’s your proof? I can go onto the Washington Post or New York Times websites and do they say anything about this? Nope. Nor is it on my local news. So the Huffingtonpost has reported on it, so what? The Huffingtonpost is a liberal website that only liberals read. If an American Presidential candidate really encouraged his supporters to beat people up, or create databases of religious minorities, or put people into camps, it would be all over the front page of America’s major newspapers. It’s not, because it didn’t happen. Americans know who to trust, their local news media and non-partisan news sources. They’re the gatekeepers keeping partisan spiel out of the news.
So shut up about Trump already. You’re only making the Democratic Party look like a bunch of lunatics to most Americans. If this were really happening they would have heard about it. They haven’t. It isn’t happening. Bringing up imaginary things like this means that you’ve gone so far off the partisan deep end that you need help.
Of course, it actually is happening. Those “partisan” news sources are reporting on actual events. If you really have a question about that I can link you to some very prominent Canadian papers that have put Trumps actions on their front pages. The point though is that nobody is listening. They are not listening to the DailyKos. They are not listening to the Huffingtonpost. The only way to stop Trump is to put pressure on the media that is enabling him. Protest in front of TV stations and newspapers that they tell the truth. Wear shirts demanding the truth and position yourself behind live broadcasts. Put pressure on advertisers. Hell, try to convince the government to bring anti-trust actions against the large news chains. The last might seem unAmerican but so is covering up the actions of the Republican frontrunner in the name of ratings.
